YOUR REGISTRATION BY "TICKET" IS MANDATORY FOR ATTENDANCE Please  GET TICKET to register for this event (YOU DO NOT NEED TO PRINT YOUR TICKET)   Dear Members, I would like to invite all members for a two-day run to Mintaro and beyond, from Wednesday, 28th to Friday, 30th September, 2022. Beginning at a rendezvous point in Adelaide on the morning of Wednesday, 28th, we will drive approximately two hours to Mintaro.  We must arrive and be settled into accommodation by no later than 12:00. I have booked Reilly's Wines Long Lunch, consisting of five courses with shared wines for $100 per person, beginning 1:00pm.  To be held at Reilly's Wines Cellar Door and Restaurant, hosts Justin and Julie Ardill, winemaker and owners are able to provide seating for up to 40 people.  The restaurant is booked out for the day for this event.  I have enjoyed Reilly's Wines Long Lunch before and it's not to be missed! The lunch will conclude late afternoon, leaving the evening for members to explore Mintaro. On the morning of Thursday, 29th members will gather at the Magpie & Stump Hotel, opposite Reilly's Wines to begin a day of driving and sightseeing.  We will travel through Clare, Yacka, Georgetown, Gladstone, Laura, Stone Hut, Wirrabara, Murray Town and end in Melrose.  This drive is approximately two hours and takes in the Southern Flinders Ranges. From Melrose we return through Port Germein, Port Pirie, Crystal Brook, Clare and back to Mintaro.  This leg is approximately two and a half hours.   The driving time is just over four hours, however, please allow six hours, adding time for lunch and sightseeing.  There are many sights to visit along the way and Spring may well bring some colour to this lovely countryside. Once settled back in Mintaro accommodation, dinner has been booked at the Magpie & Stump Hotel, beginning 6:30pm. A variety of accommodation options have been made available to members by venues in Mintaro, to be emailed.  It is up to members to contact venues and book accommodation directly.  Please make bookings early as these dates are already being selected by others. The run will conclude with a return drive to Adelaide on Friday, 30th September.  Or, you may wish to continue the long weekend and make other plans within the Clare Valley or beyond. As indicated, there is capacity of 40 people for Reillys Wines Long Lunch, so I am offering various options for members. I look forward to your company for two days of fun. Best regards Suzanne sfj5048@gmail.com 0478 717 775         COVID-19 COVID restrictions from JDCSA events and meetings have now been removed, but some venue restrictions may still apply.  However, members should be aware of the ongoing COVID-19 risks and individually take whatever precautions that they feel are appropriate for them.  This advice remains subject to COVID restrictions that the government may apply in the future.
