G'day Everyone,
Instead of our usual evening pub meeting at The Maid of Aukland, in August we plan to have whwt we are cllaing a "Southern Tour" as follows:
10.00am. We will meet at the Visitor Centre, McLaren Vale for Coffee and cake or whatever blows your hair back.
11.00am. We will leave for the Lady Bar Resort Restaurant,
We will travel via the Myponga Reservoir and stop at the Reservoir Lookout for a photo shoot. (lining up the cars in an orderly fashion for the group photo, so please follow instructions) Then continuing via Carrickalinga to Lady Bay Resort for lunch.
12.30pm. Lunch, Lady Bay Resort Restaurant, 73 St Andrews Boulevard Normanville SA.
There is a limit on numbers (25) for lunch. (Please register any significant dietary requirements at registration)
NOTE: When booking your ticket, there is a request for a "Club Run Emergency Contact" Name and phone number. This person needs to be someone other than the persons travelling in the vehicle. This is in the event of an iemergency so that we can contact someone for you.

Come along and join us for a lunch run on Thursday 20th August. We have planned a cruise through the hills with a pitstop for coffee followed by lunch at a new venue. We will meet at the Marion Hotel on Marion Road, at 9:45am to leave promptly at 10:00am. Please give me a call if you would prefer to catch up along the way.
Members from ALL Registers are invited to join us - our runs are always a lot of fun!

Dear All,
You are invited to AKG Auto Restoration & Paint Repair, Unit 3/55 Oaklands Road, Somerton Park at 6:00pm Thursday 20th August 2026. Our host Adrian Groombridge, the owner, will show us the cars he is working on. When I visited recently, he had a Series 1 1/2 E Type in for minor work and a total closed door respray as well as an XY Falcon GT and a HK Monaro plus one other car that was in the booth.
After the above brief visit, we regroup at the Marion Hotel, 849 Marion Road, Mitchell Park for dinner (pay for your meal and/or drinks at the hotel).
There is car parking at both venues. The painter shares the premises with Eastside Mustang Enhancements (look for the EME sign) where there is limited off street parking.
Hope to see you there! Tickets are limited to 20 people.

A great opportunity to get the Jag out for a spring drive through the beautiful Barossa Valley.
Starting from the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Hindmarsh, we'll make our way to Tanunda to meet Chris Hatcher before enjoying a leisurely run through some of the region's best roads and vineyard scenery. We'll finish with lunch at Artisians of Barossa, good selection of wines and great location for lunch and some group pics.

SS, MkIV and MkV BORDER RUN - November 2026

Members of the SS, Mark IV & Mark V Register are advised that the Jaguar Car Club of Victoria has confirmed it will host the 2026 Border Run.
The Victorian club has selected Corryong, Victoria as the destination — a picturesque township approximately 950 km from Adelaide. The event will be held on the weekend following the Melbourne Cup, running from Friday 6 November to Monday 9 November 2026.
Final arrangements are still being worked through, and the Victorian organisers will circulate full details once plans are complete. These will be forwarded to all Register members as soon as they are received.
In the meantime, members who believe they may or likely to attend, can you please let me know. Early indications of numbers will assist Victoria with planning and accommodation considerations.

JDCSA 50th Celebration Book

Hello Fellow Jaguar Enthusiasts,
As you may know it was our club's 50th birthday in 2023 as the first meeting was on the 25th July 1973. To celebrate this we have compiled a 50 year Celebration Book and it's now available to purchase.
The book is a Coffee Table style book, A4 in size with landscape orientation. It is full colour. Approximately 110 pages with around 120+ photos.

Jaguar Ladies Social Register - Tour Cummins House & lunch Morphett Arms Hotel Thursday 16th July 2026

Dear Jaguar Ladies,
You are invited to a tour of Historic Cummins House, 23 Sheoak Ave, Novar Gardens, an important state Heritage home built in the 1850's. You need to arrive by 10.30am, where we will enjoy a lovely devonshire morning tea and then a tour of the home. After our tour we will go to the Morphett Arms Hotel, 138 Morphett Road, Glengowrie for lunch. The Morphett Arms also do a Seniors Menu.
The cost of the tour and morning tea at Cummins House is $15 which you will need to pay by CC when you book on Tidyhq. You will also need to advise if you are Gluten Free.
Note, you can choose to do both activities or just one. Tick the appropriate box when you book.

Richard will share the story, complete with photos, of the exciting trip he once had in ferrying an aircraft to the Phillipines. He was intercepted by 2 Indonesian fighter jets and escorted to land and explain what he was doing in the region.
Attendance is an opportunity to renew your membership and/or any Logbooks in person.
