Barossa Run – Event Summary 12/10/26 An excellent day out, with 11 Jaguars making the run to the Barossa. A big thank you to Chris Hatcher for organising the main driving loop through the Barossa and sharing his local knowledge. Four cars were unable to attend at the last minute, which is always to be expected. One car did make it to the starting point but, unfortunately, the vehicle was not sounding its best decided not to continue. Lunch at Salters Kitchen was good, with excellent shared platters offering value at  reduced $60 per person. However, the lunch arrangements had changed from the expected à la carte menu to shared platters, and I was not aware of this change until we arrived. For future events, I will personally confirm the final arrangements with the venue to ensure clear. The weather was kind to us for most of the day, although a storm moved in during the afternoon after lunch. It may have caught many members on their return journey, but everyone made it home safely. Had tried loading route in to google maps thinking people could follow on phone – most though ran off of manual maps or just entered locations into own Sat Nav that went a different route. We will finish the run with lunch at Salters Kitchen, Saltram Winery (note change of lunch venue – issue with previous) A run sheet with the detailed route and directions will be handed out on the morning. Yes we will seek to present a credible club display again at the Vic Park Pit Stop (Cars and Coffee) We have now established an informal attendance with in the past having up to 23 Jaguar and Daimler cars attending and parking as a group at this event over the past few months. This an opportunity to join other JDCSA Members at this very informal monthly meet in Victoria Park, Adelaide.  NOTE: Normally held on the last Sunday of each month, but this is not guaranteed depending on availability of the park. The September event has now been confirmed as Sunday 20 September 2026. You can always check on the Vic Park Pit Stop Facebook Page.
