Essentially an end of year picnic style get together in relaxing environment.  BYO EVERYTHING - chairs, tables, food, drink, etc. etc.  Plenty of parking. Enter the Wetlands from Oaklands Road at the Hendrie Street lights. Drive to the southern end of the reserve and look for a Jaguar or two. Please note that if the forecast temperature is going to be over 35C (as at Wednesday) we will cancel as it is just too hot.  We will email everyone if we will be cancelling. Firstly, many thanks to those who responded to my email indicating support for this event. As previously intimated this event is to seek to encourage contact between our XJS owners in the club by getting together for a run and enjoy each others company over lunch.  It is firstly for XJS owners but is NOT EXCLUSIVE to XJS owners. So please all feel welcome, particularly other GT Jaguars, XK, XKR, F Type, E Type, XJC, etc. Numbers have been limited to 40 for catering purposes, Registrations close 31/10/2021, it will be first in first served. The plan is as follows . . . (These instructions will be sent to those who register before the event) 8.30am – 10.00am - Coffee and Cars style meet at Nick Scali Carpark, Marion Road, Marion. (Pop Up Café on site) Time for a casual cup of coffee, chat, view/show cars. 10.00am – Leave on the Run as follows . . . . . Travel south via Marion Rd, left into Sturt Rd, becomes Sheperds Hill Road to Blackwood roundabout At the roundabout take Main Road, via Coromandel Valley and Potter Road to Clarendon Continue through Clarendon on Kangarilla Road towards Kangarilla, left turn to Mount Bold Reservoir before Kangarilla  10.45am.- 11.15am Stop off at Mount Bold Reservoir (Photo Shoot opportunity) 11.15am - Travel via Kangarilla and Mclaren Vale and then via Main South Rd. (Do not take the Expressway) to Mick O'Shea's Hotel on the right after the expressway turn-off. 12.15pm - Mick O’Shea’s Irish Pub Main South Road, Hackham (Lunch, Ala cart style PAYG). We will be parking on the lawn behind the Pub, NOT IN THE MAIN CARPARK . . . so take the second entrance and follow through to the end turning left to get onto the lawn area.   Update for this event - SPORTS CAR SUNDAY Display NOTE: Additional FREE Registration Required (See details below) Since initially planning this event some interesting information has come to hand in relation to the SPORTS CAR SUNDAY Display event. Available accomodation in Loxton has been booked out, however other accomodation is reserved nearby Program Friday: 10.00 am Coffee at the Bakery Mt Pleasant. Travel to the Swan Reach Ferry, visit the Classic  Cat Museum & Craft Shop. Saturday Program: 10am Loxton Historic Village, afternoon Winery Tour, evening dinner at the Mallee Fowl  Restaurant(bus supplied) Sunday Program: Breakfast at River Jacks, attend the Monash Centenary Celebrations as quest of the Riverland Classic Car Club & display our cars, tour of Olivewood Estate, Renmark, light lunch at Cinnamon Grove, Murray River Cruise, Paringa Antrique tour, pizza night at the Loxton caravan park.
