Hi Register Members,

May's meeting photo was supplied by Mr J Johnson and shows E Types on display at Jaguar Day 1984 at Wigley Reserve, Glenelg. Got a photo you would like to share, please email me at tomherraman@hotmail.com.

This month’s meeting will be at Alan Baker's Garage in Somerton Park as featured on the RAA video: https://vimeo.com/507357724, The address is above, please enter via the roller door. As always, it is a privilege for us to be able to visit so please take care during our meeting and speak ask Alan before touching any of the collection.

Di Adamson will be providing an update on the 60th Anniversary E Type Boarder Run with the Victorians. We will be welcoming Gail, Kieth , Andrew and Maria from the JCCV to our meeting who will also have examples of the regalia for trial fittngs. Dates are 10-13 September 2021. I believe there are many E Types heading across from Victoria so now is the time to book accommodation and register with Di. .

I recently caught up with John Johnson who purchased a new E Type registration RBO666 from Bryson’s in 1969. John has written an excellent article for the Classic marque next month including some details on some very fast interstate travel. We are looking for the car so please let us know if you know who bought it from Bennett’s car auctions circa 2000.

We have a new member looking for good driver/older restoration 2+2 for sale in Adelaide please let me know if we can point him towards a local E Type.

I continue to get requests from people looking to organise E Type rides for fathers and grandfathers’ birthdays. If this is something you would like to do please let me know.

Photos from 60th Anniversary at the Torrens Parade Grounds – we have hundreds of high-resolution photos from the event. I am still trying to work out a way to distribute these to owners.

Future meetings: I am looking for hosts for the following E F & GT Register meetings. Please let me know if you can assist me.

In addition to any guidelines we may have as a group you are asked to be sure to abide strictly to any rules, restrictions and or regulations that may be in place either by state government regulation or those rules and guidelines established by any venue you may visit during the course of this event.

Event Guidelines

2.       It is imperative that we are all mindful and continue to practice physical distancing of 1.5 metres whilst maintaining strict personal hygiene.

3.      Please have in your car and/or in your possession appropriate hand sanitising liquid and use it frequently.

4.      It will still be best to avoid the traditional hand shake, hug or friendly kiss.
