Hello members,
I would like to invite all members of the E, F & GT Register to attend a special event hosted by Register member, John Torresan, on Friday, 18th November at Torresan Contract Bottling and Packaging, 48 Martins Road, McLaren Vale, beginning 10:30.
John has graciously offered to walk members through the bottling and packaging process of his business whilst it is in full swing, which is the reason for such short notice.
On Friday, 18th both major lines will be in full production. The big line bottles 14,000 bottles of wine per hour and the small line bottles 11,500 per hour. The entire process is automated and we will have the opportunity to view all machines in operation. Members will be required to wear green vests for visibility and move with care.
This is a rare offer to view such a large processing operation and I must thank John for offering his time and expertise to the membership. I would also like to thank Alan Baker for creating this opportunity.
Following the tour, all attendees are invited to lunch at Vasarelli Cellar Door Restaurant, 169 Main Road, McLaren Vale. John has arranged lunch with Maria Vasarelli, so once again, thank you John and we look forward to sharing lunch with you. Members are required to pay for meals personally.
Parking is available at Torresan Contract Bottling & Packaging and at the rear of Vasarelli Cellar Door Restaurant.
For planning purposes, registration is required by Wednesday, 16th November to provide numbers to both John and Maria for the day.
A spontaneous event and a great surprise for Register members. I look forward to seeing you all at McLaren Vale next Friday.
Best regards
Suzanne
