Hi XJS Owners and Others.

Firstly, many thanks to those who responded to my email indicating support for this event.

As previously intimated this event is to seek to encourage contact between our XJS owners in the club by getting together for a run and enjoy each others company over lunch. 

It is firstly for XJS owners but is NOT EXCLUSIVE to XJS owners. So please all feel welcome, particularly other GT Jaguars, XK, XKR, F Type, E Type, XJC, etc.

Numbers have been limited to 40 for catering purposes, Registrations close 31/10/2021, it will be first in first served.

The plan is as follows . . . (These instructions will be sent to those who register before the event)

8.30am – 10.00am - Coffee and Cars style meet at Nick Scali Carpark, Marion Road, Marion. (Pop Up Café on site) Time for a casual cup of coffee, chat, view/show cars.

10.00am – Leave on the Run as follows . . . . .

Travel south via Marion Rd, left into Sturt Rd, becomes Sheperds Hill Road to Blackwood roundabout

At the roundabout take Main Road, via Coromandel Valley and Potter Road to Clarendon

Continue through Clarendon on Kangarilla Road towards Kangarilla, left turn to Mount Bold Reservoir before Kangarilla 

10.45am.- 11.15am Stop off at Mount Bold Reservoir (Photo Shoot opportunity)

11.15am - Travel via Kangarilla and Mclaren Vale and then via Main South Rd. (Do not take the Expressway) to Mick O'Shea's Hotel on the right after the expressway turn-off.

12.15pm - Mick O’Shea’s Irish Pub Main South Road, Hackham (Lunch, Ala cart style PAYG). We will be parking on the lawn behind the Pub, NOT IN THE MAIN CARPARK . . . so take the second entrance and follow through to the end turning left to get onto the lawn area.

Since initially planning this event some interesting information has come to hand in relation to the SPORTS CAR SUNDAY Display event. If we finish up at Mick O'Sheas Pub by 2.30pm. we will have ample time to travel to this event as a group and put on an impressive display of Jaguar sports cars.

SPORTSCAR SUNDAY

A Car Event Catering To All Things Motorcar

Sportscar Sunday is a car event held every 6 months, on the Waite Oval, Fullarton Rd. Urrbrae SA

Held on the 07/11/2021 from 15:30 to 18:30

We encourage people who wish to attend to register their cars to secure a space. Historically we have had over 300 cars in attendance.​

Cars are parked by manufacture. You will be personally greeted at the event and directed to your reserved space. ​

Sportscar Sunday caters to exotic and rare sports cars, super cars, hyper cars, and everything in between!

COVID 19 Guidelines                      

Prepared as a guide for Registers and Members attending an approved JDCSA event as of August 2020

Despite the fact that we are seeing very few cases of COVID-19 infection in SA, we are sure that everyone appreciates that it is prudent for us to have some guidelines in place for club events. We ask all participants to be vigilant and follow these guidelines.

In addition to any guidelines we may have as a group you are asked to be sure to abide strictly to any rules, restrictions and or regulations that may be in place either by state government regulation or those rules and guidelines established by any venue you may visit during the course of this event.

Event Guidelines

1.       If you feel unwell and have even the mildest of symptoms you must self-isolate and not attend this event.  If you have been ordered for any reason to self-isolate by the authorities, for the sake of your fellow club members and the community as a whole, you must stay home and not attend this event.

2.       It is imperative that we are all mindful and continue to practice physical distancing of 1.5 metres whilst maintaining strict personal hygiene.

3.      Please have in your car and/or in your possession appropriate hand sanitising liquid and use it frequently.

4.      It will still be best to avoid the traditional hand shake, hug or friendly kiss.

5.      Always be respectful of any requests and or restrictions that may be applied or required by venues you may be visiting.

6.      It remains mandatory for members to register via TidyHQ if intending to attend a club event.

7.      Where the venue or JDCSA provides a COVID Safe QR Code on entry to a meeting or event members are required to CHECK-IN using the code. If unable to do so a manual sign in sheet will be available to sign-in.
